I want to be where the strangers are, where the lights replace the stars. I want to be where life does not cease, where contentment is the same as peace. I want to be in the rain slicked streets, where bright lights and angels meet. I want to be where the rules are broken, where lies are told but left unspoken. I want to be on the water, where I can be my father’s daughter. I want to be where the darkness rests, where every minute is a test. I want to be where solitude sits, wherenought can touch me, not fool nor wit.I want to be where the world’s on fire, where everyday sights they will inspire. I want to be where children play, where happiness is like sunshine’s rays. I want to be where breezes blow, where dawn’s sweet light is golden glow.I want to be where the birds will sing, beauty bright like a diamond ring. I want to be where horses graze, where there’s fog and morning haze. I want to be where friends are not, where outsides bloom and insides rot. I want to be where there’s always fear, where fright exists and so do tears. I want to be where pain is real, where it is possible for me to feel. I want to be where history lingers, where the past can be touched by my own fingers. I want to be where no one roams, where there’s me and my home sweet home. I want to be where the seas are deep, where waves are furious and cliffs are steep. I want to be where my eyes can weep, where I can cry until I sleep.
